How Do You Update Samsung DVD Firmware?
DVD players are technically computers, and they may need software and firmware updates to continue working properly. If your Samsung DVD player connects to the Internet, you can update your device by going into your system folder and selecting the option to search for a firmware update. If your DVD player does not connect to the Internet, you will need to use your computer to find available updates and transfer them to your DVD player. Open your Internet browser and go to Samsung’s firmware download page (see Resources). Click on the “Category” button to open a drop-down menu. Click on “Blu-ray Players & DVD Players.” Click on the “Sub-Category” button to open a drop-down menu.
