What does OAI do exactly?
The OAI is responsible for all matters related to allegations of fraud and corruption and for ensuring that those participating in ADB-funded activities meet the highest standards of integrity. OAI is the designated focal point of contact for allegations of fraud or corruption pertaining to ADB-financed activities or ADB staff members. It is in charge of screening and investigating complaints and allegations of fraud and corruption. It also advances awareness of the anticorruption policy in collaboration with other ADB departments through training and briefing activities, to help prevent and detect fraud, corruption or abuse. OAI conducts project procurement-related reviews (PPRRs) to identify and prevent internal control weaknesses that may allow fraud, corruption, or other forms of abuse to occur in ADB-financed projects.
