What is Intruder Alert?
Intruder Alert is a special function in Alliance that will notify you of break-in attempts. It pro-actively watches access to Telnet and will warn you of break-in attempts. You can set a warning level and an alert level. Alliance will start notifying you of problems as soon as the warning level is exceeded. When the alert level is reached you will receive high priority messages about the problem. Additionally, you can configure Alliance to completely terminate Telnet if the alert level is exceeded. Intruder Alert can prevent break-in attempts and denial of service attempts against your AS/400.
