A bound blanket will be more durable as it is used because the edges will be protected, and it will also have an attractive finished look with a fabric binding that is coordinated with the rest of the blanket. Finish that blanket you have been working on with a pretty binding that will set it off perfectly. Cut strips of fabric 3.5 inches wide. You will be sewing the strips together into one long binding strip, so cut enough strips to cover the entire perimeter of the blanket with approximately 10 inches of extra fabric.
