The Personal Greeting is a text (6-30 characters long) that you select during registration. This text should be personal, however not secret. Each time a MasterCard SecureCode receipt will be presented to you by Capital One you should look for the Personal Greeting – it proves it is a genuine Capital One receipt. Please note – you cannot select a Personal Greeting that will be identical to the SecureCode. Your SecureCode must be kept secret, while the Personal Greeting is openly displayed on the receipt.
