Fixing the iPod mini by replacing the battery part can be done without having any electronic skills, although you will need to open up the iPod mini’s case. The replacement battery can be put into position and the iPod mini fixed in less than an hour. Use the utility knife to pry off the iPod mini’s plastic top. Put the plastic top aside. Use the Phillips jeweler’s screwdriver to remove the two screws at each end of the now exposed iPod mini case’s top. Use the utility knife to pry off the bottom case of the iPod mini.
