Unwanted junk mail, also known as spam, can often fill your inbox with annoying messages. Normally, spam email contains information about unethical products, harmful viruses or adware. It’s difficult to eliminate spam completely but different ways exist to reduce your junk mail capacity. Log in to your email account. Click on the spam folder. The total amount of spam should show in the folder. Sometimes, your email provider is unable to automatically block every spam email. As a result, some of the spam shows up in your inbox. Select the email address you want to blacklist as spam. Do not open or download attachments or images as some may contain viruses or adware that could potentially harm your computer. Click the “report spam” button, also known as “junk mail” with some email providers. Pressing this button blacklists the email address and prevents future emails from the sender.
