A saber saw is a handy tool to use to cut all sorts of surfaces. You can use it on wood, plastic and metal. Because it’s more of a free-form cutting tool, you can use a saber saw in places you might not be able to use a circular saw. Select the right saber saw blade for the material you are cutting. A new saber saw frequently comes with a selection of blades to cut different substances, or you can choose the individual type you need at the hardware store. Insert the blade into the saber saw. Tighten the blade securely with the blade lock. Set the blade to cut the correct depth. You can adjust the shoe of the saber saw for the right depth of cut as well as the correct angle or bevel to cut. Mark the line that you intend to cut with the saber saw.
