You can either order the seeds online or at a garden store that sells specialty seeds. Choose a sunny spot or a place with partial shade to grow the catnip garden. Prepare the soil. Whether you are growing a catnip garden in the ground or in a planter, prepare the soil by loosening the dirt. If the soil is poor, build the soil up by adding some nutrients to the soil.
