How does the CFG measure progress?
CFG’s progress toward its overall goal to ‘define paradigms by which protein-carbohydrate interactions mediate cell communication’ is documented in the ‘Paradigm Pages’. Here, 30 exemplary glycan-binding proteins (GBPs) were selected by a committee of experts to represent all mammalian and microbial GBPs within the scope of the CFG. Investigators are now working to fill in the gaps for each paradigm regarding their biological functions and how the CFG has contributed to their understanding. This information is gathered in the Paradigm Pages, a wiki section of the CFG website. All Participating Investigators can contribute to the Paradigm Pages.
