If your going through money faster than you thought you would in college, chances are there are ways you can live cheaper. Save money with these great tips from a fellow student! BOOKS! Buy textbooks used! And even better, buy international editions of the books you need. You may not be able to resell international editions to your bookstore, but you’ll end up spending less money in the end. Another option is sharing textbooks with friends. Go to your first class for each course before purchasing your textbooks. Often, a professor will mention that a certain book won’t be used much during a course, but is still essential. This is a great cue for you to find a friend to split the cost with. Some professors will even tell you that a certain book will not be used at all during the course, so always wait for your first round of classes before buying anything on your book list. The absolute cheapest option (but not recommended if you want to make good grades) is to not buy your books at all
