Whats a filter lair?
A filter lair is a lair that kills the NPCs around it and thereby dumps the loot from the NPCs in its lair. Examples of such lairs in Nork are the hill giant, multilair, n-7 dragon, Frore gold dragons, and the Volcano Town black dragon. There are probably others. The important thing to remember about such lairs is that the lair critter does all the work for you–you don’t have to kill hundreds of npcs to get the stuff, just rummage through their lair and pick the good stuff. Of course some don’t like that thieves do this, but that’s another story. How do I pick locks? I’m not sure when the ability starts for thieves. I know agility plays a factor so make sure you’ve got that maxed. You need a lock pick. These can be had in Nork by trading a small green gem to the guy at the top of the stairs in the Volcano Town thieves guild. There are also some lock picks to be found in the King Minotaur dungeon.
