What is an unexplained absence?
The school records all student absences. If a student is absent and the school does not receive an explanation for the absence from the student’s parent / caregiver, it is recorded as an unexplained absence. The total unexplained absences on your child’s report may include whole days and half days of unexplained absence from the school.
