Whats a Hand-Held Computer?
A hand-held computer is simply a computer small enough to be held in the hand. The smaller overall size means that the display screen and keyboard are also smaller. Hand-held computers usually offer features like PIM (personal information manager) functions that were available with the earliest models of PDAs. Hand-held computers can perform all of the functions of a desktop or laptop including task management, word processing, and playing games and music. What’s a PDA? A personal digital assistant is an electronic organizer akin to the old telephone/address book but much more high-tech. PDAs provide users with the ability to perform many functions that once required multiple devices. The latest models of PDAs can make calls like a mobile phone, take digital photos, provide wireless Internet access, provide wireless connection to a computer network and function as a global positioning device. They also store addresses, phone numbers and other text-based information. Which to Choose? Ha
