What is mulberry china?
Mulberry china is similar in its history and composition to flow blue china. Instead of a blue color, mulberry comes in a variety of shades ranging from black, to a slate gray, to maroon or deep purple. It is often not as flown as flow blue china. Mulberry was primarily made in the early and middle periods of the 19th century, between 1820 and 1880. Some English companies made the same pattern in both flow blue and mulberry wares. Generally, mulberry pieces cost a bit less than their flow blue counterparts, but this also depends on pattern, shape, and age of the piece.
