How do arch supports work?
Our custom-fit arch supports have a polypropylene shell that is flexible enough to provide comfort and rigid enough to properly support your arch. The semi-rigid shell is custom milled to fit your foot structure based on your individual foot casting and prevents the muscles, ligaments and plantar fascia from fatiguing or over-stretching throughout the day. Arch supports are commonly confused with a lower-cost substitute called “insoles.” People may visit their local drugstore, convenience store, or sporting goods store for “arch supports”. In reality, they are spending between $14.95 and $49.95 on insoles—products that serve only to add cushion and absorb shock.
