What is the exam like?
The exam has 80 multiple choice questions. It is “open book” and 4 hours in duration. The US Customs exam tests the applicant’s knowledge and understanding of US Customs law and regulations as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States. Both of these publications (CFR 19 and HTS) are permitted reference material during the examination.
The exam is tough. The exam sections are taken over 2 days and are essay-style examinations. The exam paper for each area Service Support and Service Delivery — is 3 hours long. Over 60% of your exam score is based on a Case Study which is sent directly to you approximately 2 weeks prior to the exam.
The CNA certification exam is practice based. It is designed to test the knowledge and skills expected of a nurse with at least two years of full-time experience in the specialty. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions that represent situations a nurse could encounter in daily nursing practice. Each question is made up of an introductory section (the stem), which presents a situation or problem. The question is followed by four possible answers. Each question has only one correct or clearly best answer.
