Who are the EBS Sponsors?
14) The USF-ID number has a dash “-” which makes it 10 characters long. Are we supposed to acknowledge the dash? No. The USF-ID number is a U followed by 8 numbers, making it a 9 character ID. By grouping the numbers, the dash is intended to make it more legible and easier to remember. 15) My department/college never got a USF-ID poster. How can we get some? Contact USFID@admin.usf.edu to request posters, or feel free to download a copy from the project’s homepage. 16) When I enter “U” numbers in Banner, they still automatically change to SSN’s. Is this supposed to happen after August 1, 2005? Yes, but only until October. The SSN will continue to be the primary identifier (i.e., it will be the value displayed as the Student ID in the key block on on-line Banner/OASIS forms) after Aug 1. The time between August and October is needed to avoid disrupting other scheduled OASIS updates. In October, the U number will become the primary identifier. 17) Will FACTS and SASS continue to use SSN,
