Does tinnutis get worse with age?

No, there is no evidence that tinnitus worsens with age. Usually, people complain about it less as they age…probably because they have learned to cope with it. Or, it has just become so much a part of them that it isn’t as annoying as it was when they were younger. Unfortunately when you have it, if no medical cause is found for it, there is no way to get rid of it. Since it doesn’t worsen with age, there is nothing to be done to prevent it from getting worse as you age but there are ways to prevent your existing tinnitus from getting worse (has nothing to do with age but with what you do or don’t do).
