Xoops is an open source, object-oriented content management system (CMS) suitable for creating websites with a number of various sizes and types. Examples of Xoops websites include corporate portals, community websites and blogging platforms. The core Xoops platform includes many of the tools required to easily create and manage a variety of content types, and modules and themes are constantly developed by the open source community to extend Xoops capabilities. Download the Xoops package. Go to the Xoops organization website and navigate to the download page. Download the “.zip” package if you are running a Windows computer or the “.tar.gz” package if you are running a Unix or Linux computer. Decompress the package files to a folder. Upload the Xoops file to your Web server.
