How can any Canadian support a coalition that depends on support from the Bloc Quebecois?
The Bloc has played a role in supporting the last two minority governments. Its existence in the House of Commons is a political reality and it can act as any opposition party. Without the votes of the Bloc Quebecois, the last two minority governments would not have lasted as long as they had. In a minority government, cooperation among parties is the only way to ensure that House business proceeds, and in Canada, at least for the last 3 Parliaments, this means cooperation with the Bloc.
