How many larch trees are infected?
We will never know the exact number of trees infected because we are treating all Japanese larch on an outbreak site as infected, and felling them. We are also still surveying and carrying out tests to establish the extent of the disease and the number of sites affected. But at the moment we estimate that the numbers of infected trees are probably in the thousands.
