How Do You Tune A Tremolo Guitar?

0

A tremolo, also known as a whammy bar, is a system attached to some electric guitars that guitar players use to manipulate the pitch of the strings by pressing down or pulling up on a bar attached to the guitar body. Some of these systems are locking systems, meaning that once you’ve tuned your guitar and locked them down, any further tuning will be done through the tremolo system as opposed to the tuning pegs on the guitar. Learning to tune your guitar to the system can be tricky at first, but once you’ve mastered the technique, you’ll find that your guitar stays in tune better. Bring the strings of your guitar up until there is some tension, but don’t tune the strings yet. Tune each string to pitch using an electronic tuner, starting with your E bass string and then the high E string. Cross tune each of the strings until they are up to pitch. Be sure the strings are broken in. It often helps to pull each string away from the neck of the guitar as far as you can to stretch them proper
