How are Brand-name foods repackaged?
You don’t give any specifics as to where or how you live, but my own quest to answer this exact question has had profound effects on my life. I like to eat. No… I like to eat good food. But I’ve been underwealthy my entire life, and let’s face it — people with little money have a hard time finding a variety of really good food. It became clear really fast that if I wanted to eat like a king I had to eliminate as many steps along the preparation chain where the cost gets marked up. Given my station (moreso then than now), that meant two things: learning how to cook the food myself, and where possible, growing the food myself. The first, anyone can do, no matter where you live.
