Do you offer Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (PMAB) and Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour (UMAB) training?
We have trained the CEO (Joe Highland) of UMAB in de-escalation skills and (due to patent issues) have offered him a limited ability to utilize them in his training. Our physical self protection skills are different and in our eyes create better overall safety for both staff and participants. In terms of PMAB, CTI has trained a number of hospitals including the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health who call their programs PMAB. Our verbal deescalation, self protection and team controls are completely different from PMAB.
