How Do You Eat A Flexitarian Diet?
I know what you’re thinking. There’s some new fandangled way of eating that appears every other day it seems. But the flexitarian diet, not known to be coined until 1992, has been around for ages. And actually, a flexitarian is just a fancy way of describing a vegetarian who occasionally eats meat. It’s quite simple to eat a flexitarian diet. Some may not even know that they are flexitarians. They may be individuals that for whatever reason, choose to eat mostly vegetables, fruits, beans, eggs, nuts, grains, etc., but every now and again, sneak in a piece of meat. Others may be vegetarians 99% of the time, but feel guilty for noshing on a side of wings with their beer. There’s no need for the guilt if you’re a flexitarian. No matter how you decide to classify it, if you mostly consume a meal similar to a vegetarian’s, but on the rare occasion will eat meat, you are a flexitarian.
