WHAT CAUSES SACROILIITIS?
In most cases its difficult to determine the exact cause of sacroiliitis; however common causes usually result from either traumatic accidents (i.e. collisions or falls), pregnancy, or arthritis. In many cases, Sacroiliitis can develop over time as the Sacroiliac joint looses its flexibility and positioning relative to the spine. Poor posture, sitting on a wallet, and repetitive activities can all contribute to improper positions and movements of the sacroiliac joint. The pain and stiffness felt with Sacroiliitis is related to ligaments within the joint being repeatedly strained and inflamed. Therefore, it’s not uncommon for a person to experience a history of low back pain off and on for months or even years.WILL SACROILIITIS GO AWAY WITH TIME?Since the Sacroiliac joint can be both fixated and displaced, the frequency, intensity and duration of episodes may likely increase over time. In mild to moderate cases of Sacroiliitis, oral or injected medication may be prescribed to help reduc
