The computer must first be used to download and install specific specialized software. There is no cost for streaming live TV to the PSP; however, this will work only if the PSP has been modified (or “moded”) to allow home-brew programs such as the PMP-VLC program to be installed on it so it can receive the streaming TV video. Download a custom firmware file from a PSP moding website to the computer’s desktop, for example, the PSP 3.80 M33-2 firmware (see the link in Resources).
