How Do You Mod A PSP Slim 4.01?
The Sony PlayStation Portable Slim 4.01 is a video game device that plays video, music and, of course, PSP games. The device has a large independent developer community that has released many free games and custom firmware. Firmware is the software that runs the PSP, and custom firmware will do the same. The custon firmware, however, opens up additional features, such as running games off the memory stick. Turn off the PSP Slim and remove the battery and memory stick from the device. Place these aside. Insert the Magic memory stick to the PSP memory stick reader. This memory stick contains the modified firmware. Insert the Pandora battery and the PSP will turn on all by itself. Your PSP Slim will now be in service mode. Press the “X” button twice to install the modified firmware. This will take a few minutes to complete. Press “X” again to shut off the PSP Slim after the install finishes. Remove the Pandora battery and Magic memory stick. Reinsert the normal battery and memory stick to
