How Do You Fix Car Window Leaks?
Car window leaks are practically inevitable over time. Window seals leak due to the urethane drying up, cracking, and then peeling. If your car window seal starts to leak, the only fix it is to reseal it. Use a special type of urethane sealant available at an auto parts store made for automotive glass. Apply a thin bead of sealant to the molding or area you want to seal. Smooth out the urethane with your finger so that you get even coverage and there are no gaps or spaces at the glass edge. Wipe off any excess urethane right away with a rag. Allow the urethane to cure for 24 hours before exposing it to the elements.
