What is GW Dance Marathon?
George Washington University Dance Marathon (GWDM) is a student-run, philanthropic organization that works year round to benefit Children’s National Medical Center (CMNC) in D.C. though the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Our mission is to raise valuable dollars for the Children’s National Medical Center with the help of the CMN to benefit critically ill young patients who cannot afford the care they desperately need. One hundred percent of the funds raised stay local to benefit the children in our community treated at the state-of-the-art CMNC. GWDM began in 2001, and it has been one of the largest student-run philanthropy organizations at GW in the past six years.
