How Do You Make Glow Sticks Brighter?
Glow sticks are a lot of fun. While they are thought of as a kids’ toy, adults enjoy glow sticks once in a while too. There’s nothing more disappointing to a child (or adult) than a glow stick that isn’t bright. Glow sticks work as a result of chemical reactions, so there is a way to alter that reaction and make that glow stick brighter. Open your glow stick and snap in the center to activate the chemical reaction needed to make it glow. Fill a pan with warm water and put your glow stick in the pan. Heat until boiling and let it boil for one minute, but no longer. Use the tongs to remove the glow stick from the water. The heat speeds up the chemical reaction that brightens the glow stick, so now it should be twice as bright as it originally was.
