What Birdseed Do Birds Like Best?
This science research article is to find out which birdseed, the birds like best. I also wanted to find out if the weather or temperatures affected birds eating habits. To begin my research I took three 20oz empty soda bottles and washed them out and let them dry. Then I filled each bottle with a different kind of birdseed. The birdseed I used was mixed birdseed, unshelled sunflower seeds and shelled sunflower seeds. The bird feeders were put in different locations but still close together. Next, I checked each bird feeder daily and marked each bottle and dated where they had eaten. I recorded this information in a daily journal along with the temperature and weather conditions for the day. When the first week was over I repeated this process for another week. When all the birdseed was finished, I took all the bottles to analyze the data. First, I measured a 20oz bottle and came up with nine inches in length.
