What is digital and optical zoom?

0

The higher the number the closer you will be able to get. So, a 10x optical zoom won’t get as close as a 20X optical zoom. 2000x digital zoom means that it is taking the image that you see and cropping it in order to ‘zoom’ in on part of the image. This almost always creates a poorer quality photo with some sort of pixelation or graininess in the photo. Your best bet is to look at just the optical zoom. The bigger the optical zoom the closer you will be able to get and still get a good quality photo.
