It is just a matter of making an appointment, preparing for the audition, acing the audition and landing the role. Believe me, it sounds a lot easier than it really is. Here is how to become a traveling stage actor, considering everything goes your way with the auditions. And, who knows? It just might! Find a traveling repertory theatre company that is holding auditions. Call to make an appointment or find out when the open call is. Prepare the required audition pieces, which can include a song, monologue and/or dance routine. Get directions to the audition venue. Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your audition and sign in or let the stage manager know that you have arrived. Perform your audition piece. Follow any and all directions given by the director.
