What is Early Decision?
Early Decision is an application process in which the College makes a binding commitment to a student for admission and a student makes a binding commitment to the institution to enroll if admitted. The College encourages Early Decision applications from students who would clearly rank St. Louis College of Pharmacy as their first choice college. The benefits of Early Decision are: • Guaranteed place in the highly competitive freshman class if admission requirements are met • Early notification of acceptance to their first choice college • Opportunity to attend early orientation sessions The obligations of the Early Decision candidate to St. Louis College of Pharmacy are: • While pursuing Early Decision admission to the College, students may not apply to any other Early Decision plan. Multiple Early Decision application filings will nullify the student’s application to StLCoP. Early Decision supersedes all other applications.
If you are certain that Northwestern is where you want to enroll, we encourage you to apply under our Early Decision plan (see table above for deadlines). As with all traditional Early Decision plans, you agree to withdraw all applications at other colleges and enroll at Northwestern if admitted. Students interested in HPME must apply under the Regular Decision plan. Applicants who choose Early Decision send a strong, positive message to Northwestern. Given their high level of interest and overall academic and personal strength, the rate of admission for our Early Decision applicants is higher than our overall admit rate. If you are admitted under Early Decision and apply for financial aid, you will be notified of your aid decision around the time of your acceptance, provided your family has filed the College Scholarship Service Financial Aid Profile by December 1. Students admitted under Early Decision may be released from the commitment to enroll at Northwestern only for financial re
Early Decision is a plan under which first-year applicants to Brown may apply for admission in the fall of their senior year and receive an admission decision in mid-December. Early Decision is intended for students who consider Brown their top choice and therefore are willing to make a binding commitment to attend Brown if admitted. Early Decision is reserved for applicants who have not applied to any other Early Decision programs (Ivy League or non-Ivy League institutions). Brown reserves the right to withdraw the applications of Early Decision applicants who do so. You may, however, apply to other colleges at any time under their respective Regular Admission programs. Under the Early Decision program, almost all of your application credentials must be received by November 1. All completed Early Decision applications will be reviewed after December 1, and decision letters will be mailed in mid-December.
Early Decision should only be considered by students who are committed to attending a specific college. The student applies early (usually by the end of November) and commits to attending the college if accepted. Although students can only apply to one college for Early Decision, they may apply to other colleges through the regular admissions process. If accepted for Early Decision, all other college applications must be withdrawn.
