How Do You Make A Paper Bag Kite?
When those trees outside are blowing fall leaves all over the ground, maybe you’ll be inspired to try this craft with your kids. On a windy day, there’s nothing like flying a kite. You and your child can make your own kite out of a paper bag, some streamers and string. Your child will enjoy running with the kite behind him, and you’ll enjoy the sunshine you created with recyclable household items. Have your child decorate their bag. Let him use paints, markers, glitter or whatever he wants. Glue streamers or strips of colored tissue paper to the bottom of the bag. These streamers will hang off the bottom and fly wildly in the wind when the kite goes up in the air. Punch four holes, one in each corner of the top of the bag. Affix a paper reinforcement ring around each hole. Cut two 3-foot pieces of string. You’ll have four ends of string. Tie an end to each of the four holes to create two loops. Cut one more longer piece of string, maybe 3 to 4 feet. Hold the kite up by the strings alre
