How Do You Tap A Beer Keg?
It doesn’t matter if you are a professional bartender or just having a summer barbecue–you should know how to tap a keg. Tapping a keg is a simple process but you need to know how to do it correctly unless you want to be sprayed with beer. There are different taps for imported and domestic beers so make sure you have the right tap for the kind of keg beer you buy. When you are ready to tap the keg, put the tap over the seal on the keg. Push down on the seal with the tap breaking the seal. While you are still pushing down twist the tap clockwise as far as it will go. This will lock the tap in place and you are ready to pour.
