What Does Chore Mean?
If you are regularly doing a particular kind of work you can attribute that work with the name of a chore. You can better understand its use when it is used in the following sentence: I am a bachelor and I have to do all my household chores on my own. The word is particularly used for a work that makes you bore and because you are doing it so regularly it becomes monotonous. It is used in the abovementioned sentence because it is describing the household work which is usually quite boring for everybody and most of the people want to get rid of it. But they are doing it only because they are left with no other option. You can also use it for any other kind of work that you find boring. Shopping is one of the works that most men find boring, you can use the word ‘chore’ with shopping.
