What is Local Number Portability (LNP)?
Local Number Portability is the ability for of a customer to change their local service provider, physical location or calling services without having to change his or her telephone number. This means that you can switch to 1Num as your telephone service provider and keep your current phone number!
LNP allows residential and business telephone consumers to change telephone service providers or move to new locations within the same local service area and still keep the same telephone numbers. Remember, both the current and new companies must be providing service in the same local service area. The types of LNP are: Wireline-to-Wireline LNP – A customer may switch their service from their local telephone service provider to another competing local service provider in the same local service area and retain their local telephone number. Wireline-to-Wireless LNP A customer may switch their from their local telephone service provider to a wireless telephone service provider providing service in the same local service area and retain their local telephone number. Wireless-to-Wireless LNP A customer may switch their wireless service from one wireless service provider to another wireless service provider, and retain their wireless telephone number, as long as both companies are serving in
This is an FCC mandate that allows phone subscribers to transfer their number to or from another wireless or wire line carrier (referred to as Port). This allows a customer to take his or her number with them to another competitors system, or for a customer to bring a number from a competitors system to us.

You are responsible for subscription or usage charges for both your Clustel communication broadband phone service and existing local phone service during the transfer, even if it takes longer than the estimated 15-20 business days.
