How are F5 fabrics tested?
F5 fabrics are objectively tested in university and other scientific settings to prove that they provide the five important fabric characteristics. So far, F5 fabrics have been tested at the University of North Carolina and at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition, the mechanical properties of the fabric have been tested using the Kawabata Evaluation System (KES). Only after the fabric is tested and approved to fulfill the requirements for all five of these fabric characteristics can it be certified to be called F5.
