Who is Blackwater?
They no longer go by the name Blackwater it is now Xe. There are many of these military contracted companies out there including Xe, DynCorp, KBR, and ArmorGroup. I have worked with (not for) Blackwater and DynCorp over in Iraq on security missions. I have a great amount of respect for them, one man from Blackwater actually saved my friend’s life. To get a job doing security with these companies most people need a very high amount of military training. I do not think that any of these companies will become a danger to us. Most of the individuals that work for these contractors are former U.S. servicemen and I do not think that they would turn their backs on their own country. At the pace that these companies are growing they may actually start to take over some military missions. I don’t think that this will be a good thing because it will become a huge competition within the group of PMCs.
