What is PC CalWORKs Work Study?
Work study is a program that allows students to work on campus and off campus while attending classes. Work study encourages the part-time, temporary employment of students who need additional income to help pay for their cost of education and cost of living. The program encourages recipients to participate in community service activities. The work study program recognizes, encourages, and promotes comprehensive work-learning programs through valuable workshops that target specific areas of growth needed for college students as well as one on one attention. It is a valuable educational approach when used as an integral part of the school’s educational program and as a part of a financial plan that decreases reliance on grants and loans.
