Does copycloud do Disaster Recovery?
Copycloud is not designed for disaster recovery. But then disaster recovery is not a replacement for regular data file backups! Disaster recovery software is designed to recover your system after a hard drive crash or similar failure. It will attempt to restore your system by copying the drive image without installing any of the original software or operating system. Disaster recovery products are built for making “bit-for-bit” copies of your entire hard drive image. They can be good products if you want to make an exact copy of your hard drive to restore later, but compared to regular data file backups, disaster recovery has some major limitations: • The failure you are trying to recover from could be caused by a software problem.
