What is active shielding?
Active shielding is the better alternative to active sensors. An active sensor is generally a more costly solution and is no guarantee for good signals. The special NeXus active-shielding electronics put a special signal around the electrode shield, starting from the encoder (NeXus) up to the very end of the electrode that’s on the body or on the head. This ‘field’ neutralizes or attenuates interference and noise from the environment. The combination of carbon coating with active shielding is even better, because that also minimizes movement artifact.
