Are Canadian’s American? As someone who claims they are Dutch (although I would call you Canadian of Dutch descent and certainly not Dutch) then I am surprised to see this question. Nevertheless, if you look at history we are all descendents of the same tribe originally – namely the “human being” tribe if this is the argument used to justify origin. I will just simply confirm that no, being Dutch does not mean being German.
