Is Garrincha better than Pele?
Feilhaber: I think he is more skilful than Pele but he wasn’t an all round player like Pele, and I definitely don’t think his life outside of football has helped him much in that argument because Pele is such a great player you know, on and off the field. Garrincha was a great player on the field, great dribbler, great quickness and he was really unbelievable on the field but maybe outside the field he wasn’t such a good role model. AR: But I mean do you think the constant pressure on how people see you as a footballer, do you think your behavior off the field is a part of how people perceive you as a footballer? Do you think the two are combined now? Feilhaber: Yeah I think a little bit, I think just in that case when your saying he is the greatest footballer in the world, I think its tough to say that someone that was you know a little bit crazy off the field because he was and Pele was just such a respected person.
