What is the aim of the award?
The aim of the Mondialogo Engineering Award is to promote intercultural dialogue and co-operation between educational engineering institutions in developing and developed countries. Universities and students are encouraged to support human and institutional capacity building for engineering and technology in developing countries. It is expected that by pooling resources and ideas, contestants will come up with project ideas which: demonstrate excellence in applied engineering; help to develop the technological infrastructures of developing countries; and are in harmony with the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals, particularly those of eradicating poverty and achieving sustainable development.
