What are release builds?
Release builds are a simple way to move a batch of issues from “Ready for next release” status to “Ready for retest”. For some projects, you may want to do scheduled release builds for your client to review. As people fix issues, they can mark them as “Ready for next release.” This means that they are ready to be reviewed once the next version of your project is released. At any time, an administrator can create a release build (click on the “Release Builds” link from a project home page). A release build will change the status of all issues marked “Ready for next release” to “Ready for retest”. In addition, an email will be sent to all people who created an issue in the release build. They’ll be notified to test that their issue(s) are fixed. By default, a project has release builds disabled.
