How does a Webcast work?
Webcasts typically include a series of live, online sessions with a qualified chemistry instructor over a period of weeks. Participants can attend an online session from home, work, or the lab; anywhere with a computer with Internet access and a phone that can call a toll-free number. In each session, participants view live class presentations (slides, animations, and other materials) over the Internet. They interact with the instructor and their classmates and listen to the lecture over a secure conference call. Courses typically include homework assignments and testing to help ensure a good understanding of key topics. In addition, each class includes a secure, customized webpage with links to all the class materials, including lecture slides, manuals, glossaries, recorded sessions, and supplemental materials.
